“Some believers may identify ‘dark’ places in their life when they are convicted by God of some very wrong self-indulging habits. I consider these moments to be quite the opposite. Do I feel guilty? Well, of course. But the Spirit’s faithfulness to slap me over the head & wake me out of my stumbling slumber moments is enlightening. The last few weeks have reminded me once again that sinful tendencies, that sometimes occur even subconsciously, place a barrier between us and God. So until we allow the Spirit to break us and show us the places of our hearts that need cleansing and refocusing, those bridges of sin expose a large gap of separation and broken connection to the Father who we need to hear from.”
