“It is fitting to post this photo today as the Serve Seattle team of 2013-14 graduates today; a team I’m seeking to join in the fall until next summer. 1 Peter 4:10 says, “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace”. We are blessed that we were thought of before the world was created (Ephesians 1:4) & that God already knew how He was going to specifically & uniquely design us. A design originating from His own image and a design to specialize in drawing His children back to their Father. You don’t have to be in a field like social work to serve. Service, which manifests itself in sharing God’s love, should be demonstrated every day we are given the opportunity to walk this temporary place we call ‘home’. ‘Go tell it upon the mountain’ by putting other’s needs before your own. The feeling it produces is a rare one that actually quenches your thirst.
“Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:31).” -R. Walters | LSPhotography
