a few nights ago, i felt compelled to grab my journal and begin documenting the thoughts i was receiving inspired by the Holy Ghost. nighttime seems to be prime time for me when hearing from the Spirit. i think it must at least be somewhat due to the quietness of midnight. no bustle and hustle as it is during the day. it’s easier to be still in some regard.
i stood under the grandeur of the star-filled vastness. pretty wild remembering those are balls of fire millions of miles away… sensed the moment as though i was Moses being told to remove my sandals for i was standing on Holy ground.
a thought i had earlier this week was, “how is it that the almighty God delights in me? how is it that i, mere mortal man, can bring real joy before the Great I am who has always been and always will be?” whenever you find yourself having difficulty fathoming the ‘how’, nine times out of ten that means you’ve stumbled upon the wow factor of something called Grace.
the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him. psalm 147:11
i hope this word of the Lord encourages and edifies you as much as it did me. my mentor recommend i share it for others to hear. true, that rarely does God impart truth to man that’s meant to be kept for him alone. praise be to God who gave us the Advocate who brings forth all things to remembrance.
do not be mistaken nor deceive yourselves. the Lord your God is not to be mocked. not to be ignored or forgotten. our God – yes, He is merciful. but He will also repay each man for what he has done. for as the scriptures say, “man will give account for every careless word (Matt. 12:36)”. our God of all creation, with more power and might than our feeble minds could ever muster, will judge every wicked act and unrighteous deed. repent all ye who have twisted the scriptures to justify your selfish desires. bow before the Lord of forgiveness; confess your sin and He will be just to forgive you of your iniquity.
our nation is full of hardened hearts, foolish men who think themselves wise. their pride will become their folly. they are as far from understanding and wisdom as the peasant’s home is from the King’s castle. there is no fear of God in them. their idolatry and rampant sexual immorality has led to spiritual infidelity. all who walk in their footsteps will reap utter destruction amongst themselves. God has handed them over into the care of Satan, that they might experience such anguish so as to return to repentance by God’s kindness.
all who turn from their sin and call upon the Lord will be saved! salvation is here for every glutton, murderer, thief, and neglectful of the needy. the Great I am in the heavens who spoke to Moses to deliver God’s people from the hand of Pharaoh, who led the Israelites by pillar of cloud and fire, who gave the Spirit at Pentecost – this same living God has not forgotten His promises. Jesus will not return until every willing heart has surrendered and confessed Jesus as Lord whilst believing He rose from the dead.
our God is a patient God. He is a jealous God. and we will never grasp, fathom or comprehend the unconditional love of Elohim. nor can we fully know the depths of our depravity and fallen condition. may every lonely heart hear the words proclaimed that God is a refuge for the down-trodden. may every person, woman and child look to God – the Jehovah Jireh – who sees His children’s tears and knows their needs before they consciously create a thought of need. the Lord our God who reigns yesterday, today and forever, who stands over all creation will draw near to they who draw near.
but beware those who approach the Lord with unclean lips and with hearts far from the Lord (Isa. 29:13). for their prayers will surely not be answered. they are as bad as thieves searching for an easy blessing and profit, lying through their teeth with deceitful smiles. do not be like them. instead, purify yourselves for the Lord is pure. approach the Lord with reverent hearts, acknowledging that you proceed on holy ground in the midst of the Alpha & Omega. seek Him and ask for wisdom from your heart, but do so with great faith, for without it God will not be pleased. for with doubt, you waiver and are tossed hither to and fro like the waves.
mighty is the Lord’s name. He is worthy to be praised. His glory and splendor far outweighs the beauty of gold. there is none like the one true living God. blessed be the name of the Lord who reconciles all creation back to Himself through the sacrificial Lamb. Praise be to the Father. Hallelujah for His magnificent love. it is His love that shines like the dawn that has brought His children home. may our hearts jump with glee and thanksgiving for we were once lost and now are found. once trespassers, infidels and legalists now born again and adopted into a new family. the old has gone; the new has come.
we look to and fix our gaze upon the Christ, the Way, the Truth and the Life who placed the weight of sin upon His shoulders. for the joy set before Him – eternity spent with Imago Dei – Jesus the Son of God and Son of Adam endured the cross. we, the children of God by no merit of our own, now rest and abide in Him as we wait for the trumpets to sound. as we wait to enter into Paradise regathered with the saints and great cloud of witnesses. we meditate on the truth and promises of the Author and Perfector of our faith who keeps our feet from stumbling. Praise, honor and glory be to He who came through the line of David, a shepherd boy made King. worthy to be worshiped is He who erased mankind’s transgressions as far as the east is from the west. the God of peace who will soon crush Satan under our feet.
Victory from sin and death belongs to Christ, and His co-heirs will reap the harvest; a royal inheritance straight through to eternal life. we stand victorious over disease, hatred, deceit and fear. our hearts now full and overflowing with the goodness and faithfulness of the loving Father. we, who put our trust and hope in the unseen, have discovered our security in the deposit of the Spirit guaranteeing our eternity while supplying a taste of heaven. our foundation is set upon the Rock and no longer shifting sand.
we boldly proclaim this Good News of sinners saved by grace through faith, a story of redemption from crucifixion to resurrection to ascension. we will tirelessly march from nation to nation, state to state, community to community, neighborhood to neighborhood, from one person to the next, telling of this unquenchable living narrative, ensuring the name of Jesus is spoken to all people’s that all might share in the glorious riches of our Risen King.
Grace and Peace to the sisters and brothers in the faith, who partake in Christ’s sufferings. may we remain firm in our salvation until the final hour. may we seek to serve and save that which is lost in humble remembrance of who we once were: children of Satan and of darkness, given over to our own vices and idols. but we have been pursued, purchased, rescued and saved by our first Love (1 John 4:19). the God of all creation, from Adam to Messiah and forevermore. Yahweh knows no blemish nor impurity. He is imperishable. forever on the throne. never created, never will cease to exist.
with all authority in Heaven and on earth, let it be so.
