let us declare this morning who we are before our God. there is heart-melting power in declaration. in claiming the Father’s truth over ourselves. just as He declared ‘I am that I am’, may we declare who we are.
I am a saint, drenched in Your unfailing love.
I am a son, covered in Your eternal pleasure; with access to the heavenly storehouse of riches.
I am IN CHRIST, a member of the Body, living in blessed fellowship and community of consecrated ones.
I am a Christian, a distinguished citizen of earth due to my citizenship in heaven; unmistakably marked by my appreciation of Imago Dei, all tribes and tongues regardless of ethnic or socio-economic status.
I am a servant, a servant made friend who’s been given access to the mind of the Master. a lowly servant for sure but placed on the highest pedestal in the eyes of a King, His most prized possession.
I am a seed. The seed of one known as Abraham; the recipient of a promise through faith. Now I also receive the promise but the promise fulfilled, the seed in full bloom through the finished work of the Messiah.
I am a witness. Faithfully testifying to the cross + tomb, whilst bearing the weight of my own cross enduring through momentary troubles as I fix my eyes on the finish line of faith before me.
I am a vanishing mist. Here today and gone tomorrow in the same breath. To dust I shall return. Never more than an empty vessel destined to worship a Carpenter who fashioned my entire being before the foundations of the earth, not by wood but by the purest of Love.
May grace + peace be yours today.
